How Masking Fluid Calculation Works
Fluid needed = Masked area x 0.005 ml/cm² x Coats x 1.3 waste
The painting area is multiplied by the percentage you intend to mask. This masked area multiplied by the coverage rate (0.005 ml/cm²) gives the pure fluid needed. A 30% waste allowance covers brush loading, drips and touch-ups.
